Houthi missile strikes on airports near Riyadh have halted all flight operations in and out of the Saudi capital as of 11 October 2026. At least 12 people were reported dead following the attacks, including an Egyptian woman confirmed as one of the victims. A Saudia Airbus was struck in an earlier attack days before the airport closures.

UAE airlines have suspended or redirected services serving Saudi Arabia, and five services between Riyadh and Dhaka were suspended. The disruption is part of a broader trend of Houthi targeting of Gulf aviation infrastructure. Travellers have been left with no route out with no confirmed schedule for when flights will restart.
