Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders is aiming to reclaim a prominent committee chairmanship in the upcoming Congress, VTDigger reports. Sanders told NBC News that Americans want meaningful reform, not tinkering around the edges, and urged Democrats to demand Medicare for All. He also warned that the party cannot devote all its efforts to Trump inquiries while preparing to govern. Progressive organizers credit Sanders’s persistent governance plan for the comeback, noting his continuous push for political reform. Sanders insisted the focus must remain on healthcare and economic equity rather than endless investigations.
